Principal – Strategy & Organizational Growth
Josh Sherretts was born and raised near Conneautville, Pennsylvania. After a childhood digging up what his parents called “old junk” with a metal detector, he began a career as the de facto fundraiser, preservationist, storyteller, event planner, curator, tour guide, and janitor of the Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum, the former home of a United States Supreme Court Justice and friend of President Andrew Jackson.
As part of that journey, he has published two books on the local area, Around Saegertown and Oil Boom Architecture: Titusville, Pithole, and Petroleum Centre. He has also contributed to National Public Radio, regional television, and writes a weekly newspaper column on history and preservation.
Josh is the Executive Director of the Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum, serves as the Chief Financial Officer for a regional business organization, and serves as the president of the Crawford County Historical Society, where he has guided them through a capital campaign and building acquisition/restoration. He graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in History and Secondary Education.
